Privacy Policy

Unified Silk Godo Kaisha ("Unified Silk", "we") answers questions about Japanese consumer contract and e-commerce rules, and most of what reaches us is a message from a store owner describing a shop, a subscription or a complaint. This page explains what we do with that information. We handle personal information as a business operator under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI).

What reaches us

Why we use it

Your customers' details inside documents you send

If you send complaint correspondence or order records for review, please mask the names, addresses, phone numbers and order numbers that the question does not need. A review of a cancellation demand rarely turns on who the customer is. What does reach us is used only for that engagement, is never added to a contact list, and is returned or deleted as described under “How long we keep it”. You remain responsible for having the right to share the material with us.

Your rights under APPI

You may ask us to disclose the personal data we hold about you, to correct or add to it, to delete it, or to stop using it or providing it to others, within the limits APPI sets. Write to info@unifiedsilk.com from the address you used before, or use the Contact page. We confirm your identity by replying to that address and aim to answer within fourteen days. We do not charge for ordinary requests.

Cookies and browser storage

At the date below, this site sets no analytics or advertising cookies and loads no tracking tags. The only thing it stores is your cookie choice, in your browser's local storage. If tags are added later, they will load only after you accept them, and this page and the Cookie Policy will be updated first.

Questions and complaints

Write to us first at info@unifiedsilk.com or by post to the address above, and we will look into it. If that does not settle the matter, you may also contact the Personal Information Protection Commission. Last revised: 19 October 2026.
